Opening of our new premises in Preston Park

We want to say a massive thank you to everybody who has supported us and played a part in the opening of our new office in Brighton. We saw a huge number of you at our opening events in April 2016, and if you couldn’t make it there’s an open invitation to anybody to come and take a look at the new premises. We are proud of the investment that we have made and the facilities that we can offer to the community of Brighton and Hove from the new premises, and a warm welcome awaits you should you visit us. Here are some images of the office and the opening events.

Community Involvement

As a family business, we are both grateful and aware of the support that we receive from the local community and how this has contributed to our success. We depend upon our local community, and are proud to support and sponsor a host of local events, charities and endeavours.

Team Ground Force! At the end of May we grafted for four hours revamping the garden at Beech Hurst Nursing Home in Haywards Heath. The clay concrete soil gave way to our determination and we managed to get rid of a truck load of unwanted weeds, plants and rubble to make way for a much better canvas for the staff and residents to plant a far more colourful garden for them to enjoy. The nursing home staff were delighted and supplied us with bacon butties and cupcakes to reward us for our hard work and sore backs! It was a great opportunity to team build and muck in together away from the office for a change which we thoroughly enjoyed…many hands really do make light(ish) work!

Golf Day June 2015

Awesome Fundraising! In June Pat Gallagher hosted his nearly famous Charity Golf Day, with players this year attending from as far away as Scotland and North Shields; needless to say they weren’t disappointed. Set within the beautifully landscaped Haywards Heath Golf Club, over 70 players enjoyed 18 holes in the glorious sunshine…bliss!

Over £1,500 was raised for The Sam White Legacy which supports the facilities at Nottingham Hospital, recognised as a centre of excellence from brain tumours, in particular those children and young adults. Soon to have the only in situ intra-operative MRI scanner in the UK; creating a fantastic environment for safer neuro surgery: www.samwhitelegacy.org.uk

We also raised £455.00 for Haywards Heath Girl Guide Range Sommer Hilbourne aged 15. She is raising money to get her to an orphanage in KwaZulu-Natal, a remote part of North Eastern South Africa in August 2016. Through Coco’s Foundation and Girl Guiding Sussex Central, she will be part of a team of Girl Guides who will help build two houses with toilets for some of the older children at the Mseleni orphanage. Many of these children have had a very hostile start to life and Sommer and the team will be helping to give these children a chance to get on the right path for a better future.

Anyone for Cricket!! The 30th July was the last fixture of the season for the Cuckfield Taverners who played the Cuckfield Bonfire Society ending in victory for the Taverners. A beautiful summer’s evening meant a fantastic turn out and thoroughly enjoyable evening at Cuckfield Cricket ground. Some great cricket was played, scrummy lasagne made by Jackie and Jim from the White Harte Inne was scoffed, and spirits were high. We sponsored the food and the winning prize for the Man of the Match, whilst monies raised during the evening went towards the refurbishment of the Cuckfield Cricket Pavilion.

We had a Ball!! On the 17th of October we attended the St Peter & St James’ Hospice Ruby Charity Ball. We had a fabulous time dancing the night away. There was a charity auction to help raise the hospice some much needed funding; we also had some fun with our £10.00 per ticket raffle for a pretty awesome prize of a weeks accommodation at a lovely holiday home in Portugal…we helped them raise £1,660!!
